Engines and performance
Power Bentley Continental GTC Speed is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine with 12 cylinders arranged in a unique formation of the Volkswagen Group W. W12 This powerhouse produces an impressive 600 hp and 553 pound-feet of torque. Even more remarkable is that all that torque is only a 1700 RPM mixer. Six-speed automatic transmission levers on the steering column is the only transmission, and sends power to all four wheels.
Despite its curb weight 5478 pounds heavier, the speed of the Continental GTC shakes from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, according to Bentley. The maximum speed is related to an impressive 200 mph with the top. As expected, fuel economy is decidedly low, registering an EPA estimated 10 mpg city/17 highway.
Security
Safety Standard Features 2011 Continental GTC Speed includes stability control, traction control, front side airbags and seat anti-lock disc brakes, Brake Assist. There is also a rollover protection system, which introduced automatically behind the rear seats. The optional carbon-ceramic brakes, stops GTC Speed 60 mph entered 105 feet, supercar level performance is all the more impressive given the enormous weight of GTC Speed.
Interior Design and Special Features
Even with the high expectations that come with all Bentley Continental GTC Speed is inside does not disappoint. Metal accents and leather upholstery and rich wood soft is blameless, with the charm of the old order until push-pull, a Breitling watch and the metal contacts and handles. Unfortunately, the infotainment and navigation is old world and Bentley has not changed since the 2004 Continental GTC in the introduction, and his age shows on the screen too small and non-intuitive interface. Fortunately, the iPod interface option is easier to use.
These passengers will probably be satisfied with their leather-wrapped thrones, but in the back seat is another story - there is room for two passengers short, but only if those in front are in a generous mood. Trunk capacity of 9.2 cubic feet is impressive given the GTC Speed is magnified proportions, but it is sufficient to accommodate a standard golf bag with the wood removed.
Driving Impressions
Despite the weight of the 2011 Continental GTC Speed stout and larger dimensions, is surprisingly well-mannered performance. The acceleration is allowed - as it should, with 600 horsepower on tap. The lowered ride height, suspension settings and partially adjustable rear wheels at all can lead more excited than you ever expect in a huge vehicle.
Calculate the beautiful lined with soft top, wind deflector formed by folding the rear seat, raise the windows and wonder how little noise and air to infiltrate the cab of Bentley. 75 mph, you will spoil your hair more than if the air conditioning was turned up.
Remains comfortable ride, despite suggestions to shake rough asphalt cap. The control is lightweight and does not offer any communication, that some other exotic convertible facts, but in the end, GTC Speed is what most expect it to be: sharp, sophisticated convertible bonds tour level of performance has not found a regular GTC.
